This is a 5 hour course for coaches, athletes, and medical professionals who want to improve their understanding of the kettlebell swing as well as their ability to effectively implement it in the strength training and rehab processes. It is open to anyone, although some experience with the movement is suggested. 

The course is being taught by Dr. Richard Ulm, a physician certified as a kettlebell coach by  both StrongFirst (SFG-1) and Dragon Door (RKC-1). Dr. Ulm is an experienced strength & conditioning coach with over 25 years in the profession. He has worked with all levels of athletes from general population to Olympic medalists. He uses this experience with the athletes he treats.

This course will involve a combination of lecture, demonstration, and workshop.

The following topics will be covered in this course: 

- Biomechanics & anatomy of a proper brace
-Teaching a proper brace
- Proper foot loading
- Common flaws in the kettlebell swing 

- Drills to perfect the kettlebell swing

The following movements/exercises will be covered:
- Exercises for achieving a proper brace
- Kettlebell deadlift
2 Arm Kettlebell Snatch (aka American Swing)
- 1 Arm Kettlebell Snatch

- 2 Arm Kettlebell Swing (aka Russian Swing)
- 1 Arm Kettlebell Swing
- Other drills to improve swing technique

Attendees should expect to be able to:

- Properly teach an effective brace
- Identify & correct common technical flaws in the swing

-  program a battery of kettlebell exercises to            improve athlete's swing mechanics
