Training the lumbar spine

One of the the biggest blocks preventing athlete's and coaches from achieving their training goals is the prevalence of injury to the lumbar spine. Pandemic in weight training populations, injury to the lumbar spine can delay training, end a season and perhaps even a career.
This course is designed to equip coaches with all of the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively and safely train their athletes so as to maximize performance with minimal risk of injury to the lumbar spine.
In this course, Dr. Ulm will cover:
Biomechanics and anatomy of the lumbar spine
Kinematics and anatomy of proper trunk stabilization
Pathomechanics of injury to the lumbar spine
Corrective exercises for common functional blocks
Proper cuing to get athletes to stabilize properly
When/how to use a belt properly
Proper lifting mechanics of common injurious exercises
How to effectively triage lower back injuries
Of course lots and lots of "core" training exercises
