DNS Strength Training 1 is a course designed for clinicians and fitness professionals who consistently utilize weight training with their clients, athletes, and with themselves.
The purpose of this course is to help attendees apply the powerful principles of DNS to sports performance through strength training. In this course, we will cover basic DNS concepts such as developmental kinesiology (the foundation of DNS), Functional Joint Centration, trunk stability (IAP). We will We will also cover most of the "big" lifts in strength training - hinging (deadlifts to the kettlebell swing), pressing, pulling, and squatting.
Attendees of this course will have a sound understanding of the basic DNS concepts, be able to utilize multiple DNS competent in multiple DNS test as well as exercises based in developmental kinesiology. In addition, attendees will be able to apply the powerful DNS concepts to common strength training movements such as the deadlift, bench press, and squat.
Dr. Richard Ulm, DNS-SC, CSCS will be leading the course. Dr. Beau Beard, of the FARM, will be assisting.
